Full job description
B’rock Health & Wellness is a new private, 14-bed, female-only residential addiction treatment and wellness centre opening in Blackrock, Dublin.
We are seeking an experienced Medical Doctor to provide medical oversight and support to our nursing and multidisciplinary team.
This is a flexible part-time position of approximately 5 hours per week, including approximately 2 hours on site once per week, with additional telephone availability for clinical advice and urgent matters as required.
The centre will be nurse-led and managed by a Director of Nursing, with nursing and therapeutic staff supporting residents throughout their treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical assessments and reviews where clinically required.
- Provide medical oversight and guidance to the nursing and multidisciplinary team.
- Review residents' medical histories, medications and treatment plans.
- Prescribe and review medication where clinically appropriate.
- Provide advice regarding medical concerns, escalation and referrals.
- Support the safe management of residents with co-existing physical and mental health needs.
- Liaise with the Director of Nursing and wider clinical team.
- Participate in relevant clinical governance and risk management.
- Complete appropriate medical documentation and maintain professional clinical records.
- Provide agreed telephone support for clinical queries and urgent matters.
Requirements:
- Current registration with the Medical Council of Ireland.
- Entitled to practise medicine in Ireland.
- Appropriate professional indemnity cover.
- Strong clinical judgement and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in general practice, addiction medicine, mental health or residential healthcare would be advantageous.
This position may particularly suit a GP or other experienced doctor seeking a small, flexible additional commitment alongside an existing role or practice.
Expected start: October 2026
Location: Blackrock, Dublin
Hours: Approximately 5 hours per week
Remuneration: Competitive and negotiable depending on experience and agreed responsibilities.
Pay: From €30,000.00 per year
