VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a world-renowned healthcare and medical device organisation to recruit an experienced Sales Specialist for the Dublin territory. This is a fantastic opening with a multinational business that ranks among the biggest names in the medical technology sector and holds accreditation as a top employer in Ireland.

Our client is a trusted partner to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, community care settings and emergency services worldwide, employing tens of thousands of staff across dozens of countries and multiple therapy areas. The Role

Reporting into a dynamic and high-performing sales function, you will take ownership of a product portfolio spanning several specialist clinical areas (including anaesthesia, oncology, urology and vascular devices). You will hold full accountability for revenue growth, margin, new customer acquisition and customer experience across your patch. Day to day you will:

  • Deliver against monthly and quarterly sales and profitability targets
  • Nurture and expand existing accounts to unlock their full commercial potential
  • Spot and convert new business opportunities across current and prospective hospital accounts
  • Build lasting relationships with consultants, clinical and nursing opinion leaders, and procurement contacts
  • Provide education and product training to customers, both new and established
  • Design and implement account plans centred on winning, retaining and growing key clients
  • Partner with internal operations colleagues to launch and roll out new business initiatives
  • Keep territory records accurate and submit reporting on time
  • Attend congresses, exhibitions and industry events on behalf of the business (some occasional weekend attendance)

This is a field-based position covering Dublin, with travel across the wider Leinster area as needed.

The Ideal Person

  • Background in medical sales, the healthcare sector or a hospital setting is essential
  • No clinical qualification needed - commercial ability is what counts
  • Proven success selling into hospitals and juggling multiple stakeholders
  • Familiar with how hospitals are structured and who the key decision-makers are
  • Awareness of the competitive landscape within relevant therapy areas (advantageous)
  • Confident communicator with first-class relationship-building skills
  • Driven self-starter who works equally well solo or as part of a team
  • Well organised, with strong admin and IT capability
  • Full clean driving licence (Irish/valid in Ireland) and the right to work in Ireland
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory
