Full job description

We are currently searching for someone to join our Quality Department in our company based in Parkmore Business Park, Co. Galway. The hours 07:30-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30-12:30 on Fridays.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Biological Science or similar
  • Advanced IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • 6-12 months experience working in a lab environment, with knowledge of microbiological test techniques.
  • Ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment, adhering to strict deadlines/timescales.
  • Ability to cope with fluctuating workloads..

Main Duties

  • Highly customer focused and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience in laboratory techniques and practices, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
  • First class planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain high standards with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Can work on own initiative.
