Senior Medical Scientist – Haematology

Bowler Recruitment / Heyday Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Senior Medical Scientist – Haematology for a leading private hospital in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Pathology Laboratory team in a senior position.
The Role
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Haematology Laboratory.
- Process routine and urgent Haematology samples.
- Provide supervision and support to laboratory staff.
- Assist with staff training and rostering.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programmes.
- Work to ISO 15189, INAB and JCI accreditation standards.
- Support the introduction and verification of new tests and laboratory technologies.
- Work closely with laboratory management, scientific and medical teams.
Essential Requirements
- CORU registration as a Medical Scientist.
- ACSLM recognised MSc in a relevant Biomedical Science field.
- Minimum 3 years' medical laboratory experience.
- Morphology experience.
- Knowledge of modern Haematology laboratory practices.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
