Job Title: Part-Time Medical Secretary
Location: Beacon Clinic, Sandyford, Dublin 18 (in-person role).
Hours: 08:00am-18:00pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Must be flexible to work until 19:00pm on some days.
- Additional flexibility required to cover holidays and sick leave for the other part-time secretary, as they arise.

We are hiring another secretary to join our team! We are a new medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Secretary to join our team on a part-time basis. We are offering a 2-day position working Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you have a strong attention to detail, can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to patient care, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patiently and comprehensively answer patient queries, ensuring a compassionate and professional approach at all times.
- Prepare and run clinics efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation and reports are ready in advance, and all tasks are completed afterwards.
- Schedule appointments and procedures.
- Submit insurance claims and handle associated paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Document all correspondence meticulously, maintaining organised and up-to-date records.
- Provide assistance to the consultant with personal errands, such as picking up lunch or coffee to ensure the seamless running of the office.
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Secretary is required (please do not apply if you do not meet this criteria).
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of iMedDoc or similar medical software (preferred).
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, particularly when dealing with sensitive patient issues.
- Strong phone manner with the ability to manage multiple calls and queries simultaneously.
- Capable of working independently and taking initiative, as well as being a supportive team player.
- Open to receiving feedback and committed to continuous improvement and development.
