Full job description

We are a busy progressive practice in Dublin 6W. Our team consists of 5 doctors, 2 nurses, 4 administrative staff and a practice manager. We provide a broad range of services to the community ranging from general to acute.

We are looking for a Full time experienced Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join our team, preferably with a minimum of 1 year experience in a General Practice/Medical setting.

The Role:

Main duties will include:

  • Reception duties - phones, meet and greet patients / visitors of practice
  • Booking and scheduling appointments
  • Communicating effectively and sympathetically with patients
  • End of day cash and card balancing and reporting
  • Following up correspondence/results from hospital and consultants
  • Follow up and action of tasks assigned by the Doctors throughout the working day
  • Online Claiming using HSE PCRS online application suite,
  • Keeping reception area clean, neat and tidy
  • Performing daily email, healthmail and scanning

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years minimum experience working as a medical secretary/receptionist in a medical practice preferable
  • Experience using a patient management system preferably Socrates
  • Typing essential
  • Must have fluent English, excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility in your approach to work
  • Enthusiastic, reliable person who is committed to providing exceptional patient service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €19.00-€21.00 per hour
