Thérapie Fertility is an Irish-owned fertility clinic committed to making fertility accessible to everyone. Our mission is to provide affordable, accessible, evidence based fertility care to help individuals and couples build families. We offer comprehensive fertility services including consultations, diagnostics, and IUI / IVF and ICSI treatments with the latest technology at our clinic in Carrickmines.

Role Description

Thérapie Fertility is seeking a full-time Fertility Healthcare Assistant to join our team in our Dublin clinic. The Fertility Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for supporting our clinical team in providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assisting clinical team with set up and preparing for procedures provided at Therapie Fertility.
  • Theatre change over between procedures
  • Support clinical team at IUI, egg collection, embryo transfer and HyCoSy procedures
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to support patients during a difficult time in their lives
  • Communicate effectively within the nursing team and wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Record all patient interactions in Medical Records
  • To demonstrate attention to detail in the preparing of specialist equipment for procedures to be undertaken within the clinic, whilst adhering to Therapie Fertility SOPs.
  • To promote the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility of equipment used, in line with infection control policy.
  • To exercise professional accountability at all times and to be aware of own development needs/limitations, actively seeking to address these and raise awareness in others.
  • When trained, undertake venepuncture and cannulation.
  • When trained, undertake abdominal scanning to assist with embryo transfers.
  • Postholder will support the management of stock for medical consumables.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Should have FETAC level 5 or QQI qualification.
  • Strong Team Player
  • At least 1 year's experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Caring and empathetic attitude towards patients
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records
  • Strong written and verbal English
