Full job description

We are looking for a proactive and organised Facilities & Events Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our building, ensuring high standards across facilities management, event operations, and customer service.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in facilities management, event coordination, or venue operations, looking to take the next step into a supervisory position.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Building Operations

  • Oversee daily facilities operations and maintain building standards
  • Carry out building checks and coordinate maintenance and repairs
  • Liaise with contractors and estates teams
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Monitor and order cleaning supplies and first aid stock

Events & Venue Operations

  • Support event coordination, setups, and delivery
  • Create room layouts and event floorplans
  • Manage room bookings and booking systems
  • Arrange catering and support event services

Customer Service & Front of House

· Provide excellent front-of-house customer service to visitors, clients, and event attendees

  • Respond to daily enquiries and booking requests
  • Meet clients and assist with venue tours

Team & Operational Support

  • Supervise staff and assist with rota planning
  • Liaise with security regarding building access and events
  • Support wider operations across the venue as required

Requirements

  • Experience in facilities, events, or venue operations
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach
  • Confident IT user with experience in professional email communication, Microsoft Office, and working with digital systems

Desirable

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience in a venue, university, or hospitality setting
