Job Title: Motor Trade Paint Preparation Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Preparation Technician to join our team in the Coach and Bus Painting industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles and components for painting, ensuring a high-quality finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation:
  • Clean, sand, and mask surfaces to prepare for paint application.
  • Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections using fillers and sanding techniques.
  • Equipment Handling:
  • Operate and maintain sanding tools, and other preparation equipment.
  • Clean and maintain tools and work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect surfaces before and after preparation to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Address defects and inconsistencies promptly.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure proper ventilation and handling of hazardous materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in vehicle preparation or a similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of sanding, and masking techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a body shop or automotive repair centre.

Salary: Competitive, €28K-€31K based on experience.

Working Hours: Full-time, with potential for overtime.
