Senior Medical Scientist – Haematology

Bowler Recruitment / Heyday Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Senior Medical Scientist – Haematology for a leading private hospital in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Pathology Laboratory team in a senior position.

The Role

• Support the day-to-day operation of the Haematology Laboratory.
• Process routine and urgent Haematology samples.
• Provide supervision and support to laboratory staff.
• Assist with staff training and rostering.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance programmes.
• Work to ISO 15189, INAB and JCI accreditation standards.
• Support the introduction and verification of new tests and laboratory technologies.
• Work closely with laboratory management, scientific and medical teams.

Essential Requirements

• CORU registration as a Medical Scientist.
• ACSLM recognised MSc in a relevant Biomedical Science field.
• Minimum 3 years' medical laboratory experience.
• Morphology experience.
• Knowledge of modern Haematology laboratory practices.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
