About The Ability Hub

The Ability Hub is expanding with a progressive adult day service supporting young adults with Autism and Intellectual Disability as they transition from school into adult life.

Our person-centred approach focuses on inclusion, independence and meaningful outcomes, empowering each individual to live a fulfilling life while actively participating in their community.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Specialist, you'll join a growing multidisciplinary team and play a key role in delivering high-quality Positive Behaviour Support. You'll help shape a new service, working collaboratively to develop evidence-based supports that improve outcomes for the people we support.

This role is based across our North Dublin (Garristown) and South Dublin (Dún Laoghaire) services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSP/PBSP)
  • Deliver evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support interventions
  • Collect, analyse and interpret behavioural data to inform practice
  • Ensure all interventions are person-centred, rights-based and least restrictive
  • Provide coaching, training and ongoing support to frontline staff
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Prepare professional reports in line with organisational and HSE standards
  • Support service development, quality improvement and best practice
  • Promote reflective practice and continuous learning across the service
  • Apply CPI/de-escalation strategies where appropriate

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in behaviour support
  • Membership of PSI or ISBA

Strong knowledge of:

  • Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Behaviour assessment and intervention
  • Supporting individuals with Autism and/or Intellectual Disability
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills

Transport:

  • Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Visa Requirements

  • Full legal authorisation to work in the Republic of Ireland

Desirable

  • BCBA certification (not essential)
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff
  • CPI, MAPA or equivalent training
  • Experience supporting young adults in community settings
