Your new company
This organisation are very well established, Irish owned and operating globally within the construction industry. They are seeking a financial Reporting & Analytics Accountant to join the finance team on an 18-month contract. This is a hybrid position offering exposure to senior leadership and group-level reporting activities.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in financial reporting, performance analysis and management information across the organisation. You will coordinate month-end group reporting submissions, provide financial insights to support decision-making, and prepare executive-level management presentations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the monthly Group reporting process and preparing Group reporting packs.
- Ensuring compliance with Group accounting and reporting policies.
- Supporting quarterly, half-year and year-end reporting requirements.
- Acting as the key liaison between the business and Group Finance.
- Delivering financial analysis and insight across profitability, costs, inventory, working capital and cash flow.
- Monitoring forecast accuracy and identifying business risks and opportunities.
- Producing high-quality monthly management presentations and executive commentary.
- Supporting senior management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience. You will have strong month-end group reporting and consolidation experience, advanced Excel capabilities, and excellent PowerPoint skills. Experience within manufacturing, construction or industrial sectors would be advantageous. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.
This role calls for excellent data management and analysis experience and the ability to turn complex datasets into relevant business actions for different managers and the senior leadership team.
