About the Role
We are seeking a professional and reliable Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Controller to join our team with an immediate start.
As an ARC Controller, you will play a vital role in monitoring and responding to alarm activations, CCTV systems, and access control events while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a fast-paced position requiring excellent attention to detail, sound decision-making, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to alarm activations in accordance with company procedures.
- Operate CCTV monitoring systems and coordinate appropriate responses.
- Manage access control systems and remote site security.
- Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and client instructions.
- Accurately record all incidents and actions taken.
- Liaise professionally with clients, emergency services, keyholders, and colleagues.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
Essential Requirements
- PSA (Monitoring Licence).
- Legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
- Reliable means of transportation.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Good PC and keyboard skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent attendance and timekeeping record.
- Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Previous experience in an Alarm Receiving Centre, Security Operations Centre (SOC), or a similar security environment is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Ability to learn and operate multiple security and safety systems.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
