The salary for this role is set at €29,030.

This is a 6-month work placement experience, and investment will be made in your personal and professional development throughout the course of the programme.

Deloitte partners with the Irish Refugee Council, Business in the Community Ireland, Open Doors, Nasc and DLA Piper to offer a 6-month work placement across our business. During the 6-month period, participants are supported to deliver impactful work on client and internal projects and gain experience within the Irish market. Participants will also partake in coaching to explore career growth areas and join our community to build a network.


This 6-month work placement with Deloitte Ireland will begin from October 2026. Successful candidates will be paid for duration of the work placement.

  • Cyber: Digital trust & privacy; Cyber strategy & transformation; Enterprise security

Throughout the 6-month placement, you will use your professional experience and skills to work in multidisciplinary teams alongside other Deloitte professionals to help our clients with strategic transformation projects.

Typical responsibilities include:

Support project and client delivery

  • Contribute to planning and execution of transformation initiatives.

  • Prepare client‑ready materials (presentations, reports, status updates).

Deliver insights and drive change

  • Analyse data and processes to identify risks, opportunities and improvement areas.

  • Help shape recommendations, business cases and process enhancements for digital and business transformation.

Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

  • Work with colleagues from technical and business backgrounds to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Navigate the link between business needs, technology capabilities and risk/regulatory considerations.

Manage communication and stakeholder engagement

  • Support clear communication to clients and internal teams (meetings, actions, follow‑ups).

  • Help coordinate workshops and presentations, building trusted relationships through reliable delivery.

Use and develop technology and consulting skills

  • Work with common business tools and learn team‑specific platforms (e.g. analytics, project management, enterprise systems).


Desired skills and competencies:

  • Experience working in a professional or project‑based environment, in any sector.

  • Confident using common business tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to analyse information, solve problems and maintain high attention to detail.

  • Curious, resilient and adaptable, with a willingness to learn new technologies, tools and ways of working, and aligned with Deloitte values of respect, integrity, inclusion and collaboration.

What we’re looking for:

This programme is specifically designed to support professionals in the international protection process and under temporary protection. To be eligible, you must currently have the right to work in Ireland under one of the following permissions:

  • Stamp 1 – on the basis of Education Pathways for Refugees

  • Stamp 4 – on the basis of approved Ukrainian Temporary Protection Directive (TPD) / International Protection.

  • Ukrainian Temporary Protection Certificate – with Temporary Protection Certificate (yellow paper) received

  • Labour Market Access Permission (LMA) – with 'Permission to Access Labour Market' letter (digital copy) and Temporary Residence Certificate Card valid for the full duration of the placement while your international application is pending a decision.


You will be asked to provide documentation confirming your permission/visa type at screening stage, and you must be currently residing in Ireland to apply.


Candidates
are required to be of legal working age for the republic of Ireland.
