O’Reilly Transport Ireland Ltd. is a family-owned logistics company with over 50 years of industry experience. Headquartered in Dublin Port, with operations across Northern Ireland and the UK, the group includes Freighteam UK, Freighteam Ireland, and our recently acquired H&B Logistics in the UK. Together, we are a leading provider of full-load and pallet distribution services.

Operating from eight locations, the group employs more than 200 people across a wide range of functions, including transport operations, driving, warehousing, vehicle maintenance, administration, and finance.

As Payroll & HR Administrator, you will support the accurate and timely processing of payroll and HR functions across the group and your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing weekly payroll for 5 different companies for more than 200 people
  • Downloading and importing weekly timesheets and reports from department managers
  • Maintaining accurate employee payroll records
  • Completing manual calculations, adjustments and payroll data entry where required
  • Carrying out validation checks to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Calculating annual leave payments on fluctuating payroll
  • Issuing payslips to employees
  • Uploading payroll submissions
  • Creating and uploading bank payment files
  • Preparing payroll reports
  • Administering and reconciling third-party deductions and payments, including pension, health insurance, child support payments and attachment of earnings orders
  • Completing payroll-related documentation, including Department of Social Protection forms, mortgage applications and employment confirmations
  • Responding professionally to employee and management queries
  • Identifying opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, processes and turnaround times
  • Onboard new employees into Bright HR System
  • Issue all new employee documentation including contracts of employment and employee handbooks

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years Irish payroll experience
  • Experience processing UK payroll an advantage
  • Strong numerical ability with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience working with payroll software in a multi-company environment
  • Experience with BrightPay and Peninsula Bright HR an advantage
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A high level of accuracy and confidentiality
