Job description:

Total Highway Maintenance currently require full-time Service Drivers within a 1-hour commute from our head office base in Kilkenny city. Must be able to communicate in English and work under instruction. Duties with include the collection and delivery of plant & materials to our onsite crews and the general movement of our fleet. Must be relatively fit/energetic and willing to learn!

Driving a variety of vehicles types from brand new vans to industrial Unimog’s no 2 days are the same and the individuals need the be ability to competently act on short notice projects for which full training will be provided. Experience in the use of site plant would be advantageous as would knowledge of LOLER (HIAB) although full training will be given.

Ideal role for those who like a challenge and being more than a number and who want to become part of a growing focused team. Having an interest/knowledge of civil engineering and/or transport would be helpful. We value the content of the character rather than the words on a CV! Mature applicants are more than welcomed as you are never too old to learn!

Minimum Requirements:

  • Over 25
  • 1 years driving experience (2 years for C+E driver) but will consider new passes subject to exceptional experience
  • Full Clean Valid Driving Licence & up to date CPC etc.
  • Manual Handling and Safe Pass would be an advantage (training would be given to right candidates)
  • Right to work in Ireland

Key responsibilities

  • Uphold company safety standard of “One life – Protect it!”
  • Site Deliveries of materials/plant & movement of vehicles to vendor sites (CVRT, Servicing etc.)
  • Maintain paperwork on a daily basis
  • Have the ability to clean and maintain all vehicles in a standard manner
