Full job description

Cpl Healthcare is thrilled to be awarded Tier 1 status and is one of four Tier 1 suppliers of agency staff to the HSE nationwide. As a result, we are now seeking Catering Assistants to join our agency panel for placements across HSE healthcare settings throughout Ireland.

The Role

Working across a variety of hospital and community healthcare settings, you will provide porter services as directed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The provision of high-quality support services to all patients which includes catering, and cleaning duties, in line with hospital and national infection control policies, cleaning standards, HACCP and Environmental Health Office regulations.
  • To work as part of a team and assist in all catering and cleaning duties in food preparation service and distribution
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchens, stores, walls, floors, cookers, freezers and all equipment and utensils to the highest possible hygienic standards.
  • To work as part of a team and be responsible for the general cleaning and hygiene standards of the service/clinical area as per cleaning specification and schedules

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Training in Food Preparation, Catering, HACCP, Health & Safety and Manual Handling
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of food preparation and Health & Safety regulations
