My client a very reputable Irish business are seeking an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to join their Cork finance team. This role manages day-to-day accounts payable duties while supporting end-to-end payroll processing.

This is a 12 month contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume supplier invoices, credit notes, and expense reports.
  • Perform purchase order matching, batching, coding, and monthly statement reconciliations.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly creditor payment runs and resolve vendor queries.
  • Support weekly and monthly payroll processing in compliance with Irish Revenue (ROS) regulations.
  • Verify timesheets, overtime, holiday pay, and statutory deductions.
  • Assist with month-end AP ledger reconciliations and general finance administration.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable with practical Irish payroll exposure.
  • Working knowledge of Irish PAYE, PRSI, USC, and AP VAT compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Relate, Big Red Book) and MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion with sensitive payroll data.
