Full job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Technician to join a leading FMCG based in Kildare.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products meet quality and food safety standards.

Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll play a key role in maintaining product quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out routine laboratory testing, including Brix, pH, turbidity, and other quality analyses.
  • Test and approve incoming raw materials and finished products against specifications.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, including Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and HACCP documentation.
  • Prepare samples for external laboratory analysis when required.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
  • Keep the laboratory organised, stocked, and compliant with GMP, GLP, HACCP, and health and safety standards.
  • Identify quality issues and work with colleagues to support effective solutions.

What You'll Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • At least two years' experience in a quality control or laboratory role, ideally within food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
