The Role

We are seeking an ambitious Semi-Senior or Part-Qualified Accountant with previous accountancy practice experience. The successful candidate will work closely with a portfolio of clients and continue to develop their professional expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of clients across various sectors and provides an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further their professional qualification and progress their career within a growing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation of management accounts
• Preparation and review of VAT returns
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• Assisting clients with accounting, taxation and compliance queries
• Maintaining strong client relationships
• Working to deadlines and managing multiple assignments
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Assisting with the training and support of junior team members
• Using accounting software and cloud-based accounting systems

Requirements

• Previous accountancy practice experience is essential
• Qualified Accounting Technician or part-qualified ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation and compliance requirements
• Experience using accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage client deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Professional approach and excellent client service skills
