Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Potential for Permanent Position: Yes

We are seeking an experienced Qualified Accountant to join our growing practice on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and analytical accountant to take responsibility for a substantial client portfolio and play an important role within a busy and expanding practice.

There is a strong possibility that this position will become permanent, subject to business growth and the continued expansion of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing a large portfolio of clients.
  • Ensuring all accounting and statutory filing deadlines are met accurately and on time.
  • Preparing and reviewing accounts and financial information.
  • Producing periodic management accounts for clients.
  • Preparing ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
  • Analysing financial information and identifying key trends and issues.
  • Liaising with clients and providing a high level of professional service.
  • Managing workload effectively to ensure competing deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Supporting the wider practice team and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a large client portfolio and multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Practice experience would be advantageous.
