Full job description
About the role
We run seven hospitality and lifestyle brands across Galway — bars, cafés and food. We're building an in-house marketing team, and we need someone to make the content.
You'll be in our venues most days, filming what's actually happening: the food, the drinks, the staff, the crowd, the night. Then turning it into Reels, TikToks and Stories fast enough that it still feels like it happened today.
You'll also be out in the city. When Galway has something on — Macnas coming down Shop Street, the Comedy Festival, the Arts Festival, the Races — we want to be part of it, and you're the one out there capturing it.
This is an on-camera role. You won't only be filming you'll be in front of the lens too. If presenting to camera is the part you're most looking forward to, this is a good fit. If it makes you uneasy, it isn't.
What you'll be doing
* Creating daily short-form content — Reels, TikToks and Stories — across our brands
* Appearing on camera presenting food, drinks, offers, events and venue experiences
* Interviewing staff, customers and guests
* Capturing behind-the-scenes, atmosphere and personality-led content
* Covering events and nightlife as they happen
* Getting out into the city for what's on — festivals, parades, race week
* Spotting trends and adapting them so they actually suit each brand
* Editing quickly to a finished standard in CapCut or similar
* Helping find and direct on-camera talent among our venue teams
* Bringing ideas to our creative direction sessions — not just on content, but on how the brands present themselves and where we should be going
* Covering posting to Instagram and TikTok when our Social Media Lead is off
* Organising and handing over finished assets to the marketing team
Who you'll work with
You'll report directly to our Head of Marketing. Creative direction is set together ,you, the Head of Marketing, our Social Media Lead and our videographer sit down regularly to agree what each brand needs. You're expected to bring ideas to that table, not just take a list away from it.
Our photographer and videographer handle scheduled shoots and campaign-grade video. The daily content is yours.
What we're looking for
Someone who can walk into a venue, look around, and immediately start seeing content.
* Fluent in Instagram and TikTok — you understand why things work, not just that they do
* Natural and confident on camera
* Makes content that feels real rather than like an advert
* Confident filming on a phone
* Edits fast and well
* Comfortable around people in busy rooms
* Knows Galway, or wants to — you'll be covering what's happening in the city
* Organised and reliable — content lands when it's meant to
* Trustworthy with our accounts — you'll be posting when our Social Media Lead is off
* Has opinions about our brands and our marketing, and will say so — we want someone who arrives with ideas, not just takes a list away
Essential
* At least a year creating content — in-house, freelance or for your own accounts
* Demonstrable short-form video work
* CapCut or similar editing software
* Confident filming on a smartphone
* Comfortable presenting on camera
* Available for regular evening and weekend work — hospitality happens when people are out
Nice to have
* Previous creator, UGC or brand content experience
* A strong personal TikTok or Instagram
* Photography or videography background
* Hospitality, food, nightlife or lifestyle experience
* Canva
* Full driving licence
What you'll get
* A full-time, permanent role in a marketing team that's growing
* Seven distinct brands to work across — no two days the same
* Real creative freedom, with direction and support when you want it
* A real say in how the brands develop — your ideas get heard and acted on, not filed away
* A front-row seat to Galway's events calendar as part of the job
* A portfolio that builds fast across hospitality, food and nightlife
Salary, equipment and the full package are discussed at interview.
The kind of person we're after
You don't need a marketing degree or agency experience. We care far more about what you can actually make.
One day you're filming a burger launch, the next you're covering a packed bar on a Saturday night, the next you're out on Shop Street filming a parade. If that sounds good rather than exhausting, apply.
How to apply
Send your CV to DanielMorrin99i@gmail.com with examples of your work. We'd like to see:
* Reels or TikToks you've made
* Any brand or client content you've created
* Accounts you've worked on
* Anything that shows you on camera
No formal portfolio is fine — just show us your best work. Please include links to your Instagram, TikTok or anything else that shows what you can create.
Pay: From €30,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
