Full job description

The Discipline of Occupational Therapy is seeking to appoint a full-time post-doctoral researcher to lead the process evaluation for a cluster randomised control trial investigating the effectiveness of a return-to-work rehabilitation intervention for women with breast cancer. This intervention, CanWork, was developed to support women who have completed treatment for breast cancer to successfully return to work. It provides them with knowledge and skills to manage post-treatment difficulties in work and to meet the demands of their job on returning to work. For more information see www.canwork.ie. This position will appeal to anyone who wishes to expand their existing research knowledge and skills and to develop a research career in cancer-survivorship research. The post holder will take a leadership role in the process evaluation of the intervention ensuring high-quality mixed-methods data collection, analysis and reporting. They will work under the supervision of the PI, Professor Deirdre Connolly and project manager, and work closely with other members of the research team to examine the implementation, fidelity, acceptability, mechanisms of impact and contextual factors influencing intervention delivery and outcomes.

How to Apply: Applicants should submit a one-page summary of relevant experience for this position and a full Curriculum Vitae to include the names and contact details of two (2) referees (including email addresses) to: Professor Deirdre Connolly at connoldm@tcd.ie. Please specify ‘Post Doc position CanWork’ in the subject box.
