Support Pharmacist –Cobh

Salary: €70,000–€80,000 per annum | Full-time | Permanent

We are seeking a motivated, patient-focused Support Pharmacist to join a busy community pharmacy team in Cobh. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist or an early-career professional looking to develop their clinical skills within a supportive and progressive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe, accurate and efficient dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Provide professional healthcare advice and deliver excellent patient care and customer service.
  • Support the delivery of pharmacy and clinical services, including vaccination services.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the dispensary and ensure compliance with PSI regulations, controlled drug legislation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage stock purchasing, ordering, merchandising, date checking and stocktaking.
  • Maintain high standards of pharmacy presentation, health and safety, and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
  • Contribute to business performance, team development and continuous improvement in patient services.

Requirements

  • BSc (Pharm), MPharm or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • At least one year of experience in an Irish pharmacy preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • A patient-focused approach and a commitment to high standards of professional practice.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Fluent English proficiency (C2 level or equivalent).
