KITCHEN PORTERS WANTED – NEW RESTAURANT OPENING IN BLACKROCK

Town Yard Modern Bistro is opening in Blackrock this October and we're looking for Kitchen Porters to join our brand-new kitchen team.

We have both full-time and part-time positions available.

Experience is an advantage, but we're equally interested in people who are reliable, hardworking and have a great attitude.

Your Role

  • Keep kitchen, wash-up and back-of-house areas clean and organised
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment are cleaned and stored correctly
  • Maintain daily and weekly cleaning schedules
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation where required
  • Receive and store deliveries
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
  • Manage kitchen waste and recycling, including emptying bins, waste segregation and keeping all internal and external bin/waste areas clean, organised and hygienic
  • Ensure waste is disposed of safely and in accordance with restaurant procedures
  • Support the kitchen team throughout preparation and service
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in
  • Good attitude and strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team
  • Available for evening and weekend shifts
  • Previous kitchen or Kitchen Porter experience is an advantage but not essential
