Electrical Engineer (Limerick)
We are recruiting for a leading engineering firm in Limerick seeking a proactive Electrical Engineer. This role focuses on the design, maintenance, and optimisation of industrial electrical systems and control panels. It is an ideal opportunity for a mid-level engineer to take technical ownership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Core Responsibilities
- System Design: Develop and optimise electrical schematics and control system layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or similar packages.
- Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee the preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial power systems, motors, and switchgear.
- Automation Support: Assist with the integration and fault-finding of PLC systems and HMI interfaces to improve machine uptime.
- Project Management: Lead electrical capital projects, from initial specification through to installation and final commissioning.
- Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations and work procedures strictly adhere to current wiring regulations and safety standards.
Candidate Profile & Compensation
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in reading and creating complex electrical schematics and P&IDs.
- Practical understanding of industrial power distribution and automation components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on technical projects.
Compensation
- Salary Range: €50,000 – €60,000 per annum.
- Benefits: Contributory pension, health insurance allowance, and professional development support.
- Location: Limerick, Ireland.
