Mechanical Engineer

Location: Dublin

Salary: €70,000 – €90,000 + Company Vehicle | Fuel Card | Pension

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a well-established engineering contractor delivering mechanical and building services solutions across a range of sectors throughout Ireland. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and customer service, they continue to grow their project portfolio and are now looking to strengthen their engineering team.

THE ROLE:

The successful Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of mechanical projects from concept through to completion.
Working closely with project teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors, you will oversee technical aspects of projects, ensure customer expectations are met and provide engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing mechanical projects from planning through to completion
  • Reviewing project drawings, specifications and technical submissions
  • Coordinating project activities with site teams and subcontractors
  • Providing technical support across multiple live projects
  • Assisting with project costing, estimating and commercial reviews
  • Conducting site visits and technical inspections
  • Liaising directly with clients and consultants to ensure successful project delivery
  • Supporting procurement activities and equipment selection
  • Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Supporting commissioning and project handover activities
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within mechanical building services, HVAC, plumbing, construction, facilities management or mechanical engineering environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification or recognised mechanical trade background
  • Previous experience delivering mechanical or building services projects
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and installations
  • Experience managing customers and coordinating project stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting project costing activities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Full driving licence

LOCATION:

Ideally based in Dublin, Meath, Kildare or Wicklow, with projects primarily located throughout the Greater Dublin and Leinster region.
