Full job description

This is a role for a writer and idea-generator with sharp instincts for what makes people stop scrolling and take action. You don't need ads experience, we can teach the mechanics of paid social to anyone exceptional. What we can't teach is taste, wit, curiosity about why people buy, and the ability to write a line that lands. If you have those, you'll thrive here.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Ideate relentlessly. Come up with fresh advertising angles: new ways to frame our brands, hook attention, and speak to what customers genuinely care about, then iterate fast on what works.
  • Write scripts for UGC video ads. Short, punchy, natural-sounding scripts that real people deliver to camera. This is a core part of the job.
  • Cast and direct UGC talent. Interview, hire, and brief UGC actors and creators. Give them direction that gets authentic, compelling performances.
  • Write sales copy and headlines. Direct-response copy built to grab attention and drive action: for video hooks, static ads, and everything in between.
  • Give creative direction for image ads. You don't need to be a designer, but you need to be able to describe exactly what a static ad should look like and why.
  • Edit (or direct editing of) UGC footage. Editing skills are a plus; the ability to give precise editing instructions is essential.
  • Own creative output across our brands. You'll take general responsibility for the quality and volume of ad creative across the portfolio, working with our media buyers to learn what's converting and feeding that back into new ideas.

Who This Role Suits

  • Someone with a genuine feel for what makes an ad work: hooks, angles, and creative that earns attention in a crowded feed
  • A strong writer with direct-response instincts: you understand that ad copy exists to make someone act, not to sound clever
  • Someone fascinated by conversion and customer psychology: why people click, hesitate, trust, and buy
  • Extremely smart and fast-learning. We would rather hire an exceptional person with no ads background than an average person with five years of it
  • Collaborative: you like building on other people's ideas and having yours built on
  • Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to research, ideate, and move faster

What This Role Is Not

To be clear about fit: this is not a media buying, campaign management, or analytics role. If your strengths are Ads Manager, budget optimisation, and reporting on awareness metrics, this won't be the right match, our media buyers handle that side. Your job is the creative they run.

Nice to Have (All Optional)

  • Experience with UGC or short-form video ads
  • Familiarity with the Irish/UK market
  • Hands-on video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)

Compensation

In addition to your base pay, you will have commission and performance targets set and paid on a quarterly basis. This is a role where high-performers have an uncapped earning potential.

Pay: €30,000.00-€40,000.00 per year

Application question(s):

  • How many points did you achieve in your leaving certificate?

  • Bachelor's (required)
