Mechanical QA/QC Engineer
- Location: Cork, Ireland
- Salary: €50,000 – €70,000 (Dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to join a high-profile pharmaceutical project in Cork. Working on behalf of our premier client, you will ensure that all mechanical installations, systems, and materials comply strictly with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Oversight: Oversee mechanical QA/QC activities on-site, including piping, HVAC, and equipment installation.
- Documentation & Walkdowns: Manage handover packages, turn-over packages (TOP), walkdowns, and punch-list resolutions.
- Inspections: Conduct and document pressure tests, weld inspections, and material receiving inspections.
- Compliance: Ensure all works adhere to ASME, ISO, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards (cGMP).
- Collaboration: Coordinate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues quickly.
Requirements
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of QA/QC experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biopharma, or medical device sectors.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of piping systems, welding procedures, and mechanical commissioning.
- Communication: Excellent report-writing skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
