Production Operative Position

As part of our development, Socomore Ireland is looking for a:
Production Operative

Type of contract: PERMANENT FULL_TIME (38 hrs / wk over 4 days), site based
…. Currently operation is a 38-hour week ( 7am-5pm Mon-Thurs, with 3 day weekend )
[Rare, Occasional Friday work required when shut-down projects need to be facilitated]

Start date: Immediate

Salary: €15.70 hourly basic rate, (commencing level, pre-advancements),

Your future position:

Production operatives are responsible for ensuring that production is caried out efficiently in adherence to quality standards and the manufacturing schedule.

Responsibilities: Main Tasks (but are not limited to)

  • Manufacturing operations and packaging (weighing, preparation, mixture).
  • Operating Machinery.
  • Quality control checks, completing relevant paperwork and reporting issues where necessary to senior operators / supervisors.
  • Handling of loads and products of various sizes and weights.
  • Carry out other additional tasks as may be required from time to time.

You:

Education: Basic computer ability for data entry

Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, Manual handling certificate, holding a current forklift Licence is desirable, previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage.

Language(s): Competent in oral and written English.

Personality: Team Player

The ability to manage several priorities at once is a necessity.

Excellent attention to detail.

Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
