Full job description

We currently have a 2 Full Time vacancies for a Mobile Enforcement Officer around the Dublin city centre and suburbs, this will largely be dependant upon clamping requirements. You will have access to free parking at the central head office at the Spire. 1 role is permanent and 1 role is for a Specified Purpose Contract.

The hours will be 40 hours per week and will involve days, evenings and weekends. 4 of 7 days between Monday to Sunday. You may also be required to provide cover for additional days as and when the need arises therefore flexibility is required.

The job will entail patrolling various car park sites by van to ensure that pay machines are working and to check vehicles are parked legally. Where appropriate, you will be required to clamp illegally parked cars.

Candidates must be aged 25+ in order to be insured on the Company vehicle

Job Duties

  • Following a planned route and daily checklist of car park sites
  • Inspecting the car parks and take note of any maintenance issues or hazards
  • Checking that pay and display machines are working / dealing with minor maintenance issues and changing paper ticket rolls
  • Some car parks require litter picking, cleaning of debris, removal of weeds etc.
  • Patrol car parks and ensure compliance to the applicable parking rules for each car park
  • Clamping illegally parked cars and taking photos of the clamped vehicle in line with regulatory requirements
  • Updating clamping and de-clamping records
  • Aiming to remove clamps within one hour of payment. Handling of some cash payments
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Contacting the Call Centre to provide details from the clamping record sheet
  • General administration-completing daily checks on the van, safety equipment and supplies

  • Detail-oriented with strong initiative
  • Able to follow and deliver clear instructions and reports
  • Socially perceptive with active listening skills
  • PC knowledge and Dublin city familiarity are advantages
  • Full clean driving license required
  • Candidates must be aged 25+ in order to be insured on the Company vehicle
