Full job description

Summary:

MEDIGROUP Medical Centre requires a medical administrator/receptionist for its two busy GP practices. This position is for 20 hours per week

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years office experience. Full flexibility is required

Normal working hours will be scheduled between 08:30 – 18:00, Monday to Friday

Experience working with Socrates software is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.

Full Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients at check-in
  • Compliance with patient confidentiality policies and knowledge of GDPR
  • Process payments
  • Manage patient scheduling (telephone/online)
  • Complete patient requests for prescription refills, doctor’s notes, social welfare certificates etc
  • Update and maintain patient database
  • Supporting medical professionals with diary management and other ad hoc duties
  • General office duties including but not limited to: scanning, faxing, filing, audiotyping, processing incoming/outgoing post

Requirements:

  • A team player with an enthusiastic and positive approach to patient services
  • Motivated individual, willing to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Preferably at least 2 years experience in a fast-paced office environment
  • Experience working with Socrates is an advantage
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Flexible and willing to provide cover for holiday/sick leave
