Full job description

What You’ll Do

As our Finance & Operations Associate, you will play a key role in strengthening the operational and financial backbone of InteractiveAI across our entities in Ireland, Spain, and Portugal. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career (2 - 5 years) who wants to continue developing deep operational expertise, gain exposure across multiple functions, and contribute meaningfully to how a fast-growing startup runs.
You will:

  • Contribute to the company’s financial rhythm by supporting key operational finance processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting and healthy cash-flow visibility
  • Drive accounting, HR, payroll, compliance, liaising with CSPs across multiple jurisdictions where appropriate, to help maintain smooth, timely, and well-governed operations
  • Support the preparation of budgeting and forecasting inputs, assist in financial performance tracking, and help produce insights for leadership decision-making
  • Help improve and maintain the internal systems, workflows, and tools that underpin our finance and operations infrastructure
  • Coordinate cross-country operational processes, ensuring alignment between our teams in Ireland, Spain, and Portugal
  • Contribute to people operations activities — from supporting recruiting workflows to helping ensure a smooth employee lifecycle across our entities
  • Assist in maintaining strong operational governance by supporting contract workflows, compliance tracking, and organisational documentation
  • Prepare clear summaries, insights, and materials that support leadership visibility and cross-functional communication
  • Participate in external partner and vendor discussions, helping ensure alignment, execution, and operational follow-through
  • Drive a range of strategic and operational projects - from evaluating new partners/tools to improving internal processes and supporting cross-functional initiatives as the business scales

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 2 - 5 years in consulting, finance, operations, or a similar fast-paced, operational role (startup experience is a plus)
  • Financial Acumen: Comfortable with numbers, structured thinking, and supporting core financial processes
  • Organisational Strength: Ability to manage multiple work streams, deadlines, and stakeholders with clarity and reliability
  • Versatility: You enjoy varied responsibilities and adapt quickly to shifting priorities in an evolving environment
  • Proactive & Resourceful: You take initiative, ask smart questions, and seek solutions independently
  • Reliable Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English; confident engaging with internal and external partners
  • Tech-Savvy: Strong proficiency with productivity and operations tools (Google Suite, spreadsheets, project management tools). Experience with other core operations software (e.g., Personio, Xero) is a plus
  • International Mindset: Bonus if you’ve supported or worked with multi-country operations

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive base salary
  • Access to equity
  • Private health insurance
  • Flexible work setup + occasional travel to Madrid or Lisbon
  • 22 days of paid time off + national holidays

Who You Are

  • Hungry & Driven: Motivated to grow quickly and take on increasing responsibility
  • Detail-Oriented: You take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work
  • Hands-On: You’re comfortable diving into operational challenges and making things work
  • Analytical: You break down problems logically and bring structured thinking to ambiguous situations
  • Ambitious: You’re excited by a path that could evolve into Operations Manager, Finance Manager, or future Chief of Staff

Interview Process

We keep our process focused and respectful of your time. Most candidates complete it in 2–3 weeks. Here’s what to expect:

  • Intro Call – 30 minutes with our HR team
  • Practical Exercise & 1st Role Interview – You will receive a task based on a real operational challenge, which we will cover on your next interview along with a deep dive on your experience with corporate scenarios
  • Cultural & Values Interviews – 2x fit discussions with senior leadership
  • Offer – Final conversation and offer
We’re forming a team of builders — people who care about impact, quality, and growth. If that’s you, let’s talk.
