Your Role

A real development track: This is a hands-on trainee role designed to build you into a qualified accountant over time — you’ll be supported to learn core finance processes while you progress your professional exams.

  • Reporting to and working with the Assistant Financial Controller, you’ll support the monthly Record to Report (R2R) cycle, including preparing and posting journals with clear back-up and explanations.
  • Support accurate, timely month-end through preparation of accruals, prepayments and assigned balance sheet reconciliations, escalating queries and reconciling items as needed.
  • Maintain day-to-day cashbook activity including bank postings and bank reconciliations, monitoring daily cashflow and arranging bank transfers.
  • Support intercompany reconciliations, ensuring issues are followed up and documentation is maintained to a high standard.
  • Work with Senior Financial Accountants on month-end analysis and “deep dives”, liaising with budget holders/centre managers to understand transactions and movements.
  • Help maintain a strong control environment and audit readiness through robust working papers, compliance with policies and controls, and practical process improvements as you develop.

What Makes This Role Special?

  • High Social Impact: Start your accounting career properly: build real month-end and balance sheet experience in a structured R2R team
  • Progression built in: You’ll be expected to grow your capability and take on increased responsibility as you develop towards qualification
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Enjoy a balance of office and remote working.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Graduate / early career candidate with an NFQ Level 7 (or equivalent) and a strong academic record (or relevant placement/internship).
  • Committed to undertaking a training contract and progressing a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Comfortable with the fundamentals (e.g., debits and credits), strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn fast.
  • Organised and able to prioritise work to deadlines; clear written and verbal communicator.
  • A values-driven, growth mindset, solutions focused professional who cares about social impact.
  • Grit, hard work ethic, a sense of humour, positive attitude and humility.

What’s on offer for You:

  • Competitive Salary: €33655 K/yr - €45,533K/yr depending on qualifications and experience
  • 27 days annual leave (+ Christmas eve off as company day)
  • Company pension scheme
  • Income protection and Death in Service scheme
  • Paid maternity/paternity/adoption leave
  • Bike-to-work & tax saver travel schemes
  • Employee discount programme
  • Health & wellbeing initiatives, EAP, Digital Doctor
  • Long service rewards
  • Flexible unpaid leave options + study leave and exam support.
  • Training, development and growth opportunities across the Group

Plus the chance to work with an award-winning team and use your skills, experience and energy for a positive social purpose.
