We're currently seeking experienced Bar Staff to join the team at The Dean Docklands. If you are passionate about exceptional customer service and have previous experience in a busy hotel or bar then we would love to hear from you!

Key Areas

  • Delivering excellent bar service across lounge, restaurant, and event operations
  • Preparing, mixing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to brand standards
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the bar at all times
  • Engaging guests in a friendly, professional manner and providing product knowledge when required
  • Supporting stock rotation and accurate handling of cash and POS transactions
  • Demonstrating flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events as scheduled
  • Upholding health, safety, hygiene, and licensing standards in all bar areas

Job Purpose

The Bar Staff role is central to the smooth operation of the bar, ensuring all guests receive a warm welcome and high-quality service. This position requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Whether preparing classic cocktails, recommending wines, or managing busy event service, the Bar Staff will consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience while supporting the wider Food & Beverage team.

Key Deliverables

Guest-Focused Service Delivery

  • Greet and serve guests promptly, ensuring professional and friendly engagement
  • Prepare and serve drinks accurately, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
  • Anticipate guest needs and deliver attentive, memorable service
  • Handle queries or complaints calmly, finding solutions with a guest-first mindset

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure bar areas are clean, stocked, and well-presented at all times
  • Support opening and closing procedures including setup, breakdown, and cleaning
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with deliveries, and ensure proper rotation of products
  • Accurately process orders, payments, and maintain POS system integrity

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with colleagues in bar, restaurant, and events to ensure smooth service flow
  • Contribute to team briefings and support cross-functional service when required
  • Share product knowledge and assist in training new staff members

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and manual handling procedures
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with licensing laws
  • Report maintenance issues, breakages, or incidents promptly to management
  • Maintain grooming and presentation standards in line with company brand

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a high-volume bar, pub, restaurant, or hotel environment desirable
  • Strong communication skills with fluent English (both spoken and written)
  • Well-presented, confident, and able to remain calm under pressure
  • Cocktail knowledge or barista skills an advantage
  • Flexible availability including evenings, late nights, weekends, and events
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
