Full job description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bar & Restaurant Manager to lead our hospitality team. This is a hands on, customer facing role, with full staff management responsibility. We are a private members club who also facilitate outside functions. We need you to have Irish hospitality at the core of your working life where the customer is always greeted with a smile. You will need excellent leadership and organisational skills, and the ability to drive the business to achieve outstanding service and results. Please see details and further requirements below;
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 3 years' management experience in a hospitality environment.
- Proven experience managing licensed bar and restaurant operations.
- Experience managing staff and suppliers.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of stock management systems and accounting principles, with an ability to drive profitability,
Preferable
- Degree or recognised qualification in Hospitality Management or related discipline is an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing the overall operation of the Bar and Restaurant, including;
- Maintaining high customer service standards.
- Managing supplier relationships.
- Ensuring stock control procedures are in place.
- Ensuring appropriate health & safety and hygiene standards are adhered to across the bar and restaurant.
- Maintaining compliance with all licensing requirements.
- Increasing food and beverage sales.
- Planning, organising and pricing functions (external party bookings are accepted)
- Input into developing promotions and events to maximise revenue.
- Supporting the Exec committee to achieve agreed financial targets.
- Management of all Bar & Restaurant staff, to include:
- Staff induction & training
- Staff Rota’s, appropriate to expected club footfall/turnover patterns.
- Performance management
- Training and development
- Employee welfare
- Disciplinary procedures with support from Exec committee
- Annual performance reviews
Other Duties
The Bar & Restaurant Manager will undertake any additional duties reasonably requested by the Executive Committee that are consistent with the position and responsibilities of the role.

Remuneration
Salary negotiatble commensurate with experience,
Annual Leave
20 days annual leave plus statutory public holidays.
Pay: €45,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
