Job Description
Liaising daily with department heads, sourcing products and authorising purchase orders in line with budgets.
Assisting head of departments with their stores, managing stock levels and keeping communication open to ensure costs are in line with budget
Maintaining a good relationship with suppliers
Regular price checks ensuring best and most competitive prices are secured.
Checking goods received, against orders reconciling quantiles and quality.
Reporting discrepancies to suppliers, following up on replacements or credit notes.
Inputting invoices to accounts system and reconciling supplier statements.
Preparing Weekly and Monthly payments for authorisation.
Reconciling and posting weekly Petty Cash dockets.
Responsible for accurate recording and filing of paperwork, and the distribution of received goods to correct departments.
Qualifications
Accountancy qualified or working towards a qualification in Accounts
This opportunity will suit a skilled individual who has experience of working in an Accounts department preferably in the hotel industry
Must have a willingness to assist in all administration functions
Proficient use of Microsoft Office, and Excel is essential. Previous experience with hotel systems including Procure Wizard, Hotsoft, Volante and accounting software Quick Books beneficial.
