Honestly Farm Kitchen in Strandhill is a busy farm-to-fork restaurant, organic burger grill, café and farm shop located on the Wild Atlantic Way. Known for warm, efficient service and great food, we serve a high volume of customers year-round, with a particularly busy summer season.

We were recently awarded Best Casual Dining in Sligo at the Restaurants Association of Ireland Awards, reflecting the standards we aim to deliver every day across both food and service.

Our service style combines genuine hospitality with high-volume table service, creating a fast-paced and professional restaurant environment.

We are now recruiting a senior, full-time permanent wait staff member to join our front-of-house team. This role is suited to someone building a long-term career in hospitality, with at least 3 years experience in full-service restaurants.

The Role

This is a customer-facing floor role focused on professional table service, managing guest flow and maintaining a high standard of hospitality during busy services.

You will play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality service and supporting the wider FOH team.

Full-time permanent position
35–40 hours per week
Shifts across daytime, evenings and weekends

Service hours:
We operate a daytime and early evening model:

• Winter: closing at 6pm
• Shoulder season: closing at 7pm
• Peak summer: closing at 8pm

This structure supports a more balanced working schedule compared to late-night hospitality roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and managing the flow of service on the floor
• Delivering friendly, efficient full table service in a fast-paced environment
• Taking orders accurately and confidently
• Maintaining strong awareness of tables and guest needs throughout service
• Preparing coffee to a high standard and supporting barista service
• Serving craft beers, wines and cocktails
• Working closely with kitchen and FOH colleagues to ensure smooth service
• Maintaining clean, organised service and bar areas
• Assisting with merchandising our farm shop retail area.

About You

• Minimum 2 years table service experience in a busy restaurant required
• Strong barista skills required
• Bar or cocktail experience an advantage
• Confident, warm and organised under pressure
• Comfortable managing multiple tables during busy service
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine interest in hospitality and great food

Pay & Benefits

€14.50 – €16.00 per hour depending on experience, plus tips
