We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and providing support to the chef and kitchen staff.


About the Hotel:

Formerly a country mansion, the 4* Ardilaun Hotel boasts 123 luxury bedrooms with a superb conference center, wedding venue and leisure club facilities. It is independently owned and operated by the Ryan family, having celebrated 64 years in business recently. Nestled in Galway's suburbs, in a secluded setting in leafy Taylor's Hill just 1km from Galway City, Galway Bay, and Salthill, our hotel provides a serene and secluded setting. The facilities include the family friendly Camilaun Restaurant, Garden Terrace with canopy for outdoor dining, Blazers Bar and The Ardilaun Bistro. Guests can also relax in the spacious Garden Lounges for Afternoon Teas. At The Ardilaun Hotel our mission is to create exceptional experiences and exceed the expectations of every guest we serve.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
  • Prepare and restock food supplies as directed by the chef
  • Clean and maintain kitchen appliances and work areas
  • Follow health and safety regulations
  • Participate in the kitchen team's daily cleaning and closing tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen management


Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a kitchen
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of following instructions and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
