Full job description

Hyde Bar & Gin Parlour are recruiting for a full-time F&B Supervisor to join our award winning team. The role will be reporting to the Restaurant Manager and the role provides an engaging and high-end service to our guests and Customers.

The F&B Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the food service operations at

HYDE, ensuring high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and

compliance with Irish health, safety, and employment legislation. The role supervises

front-of-house staff, supports the Food & Beverage Manager in daily operations, and

contributes to the overall quality, reputation, and profitability of the business.

Duties of the Food Service Supervisor

The duties of the Restaurant Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

Customer Service & Operations

· Supervise front-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient service and excellent guest experiences.

· Ensure that food and beverages are served to the businesses’ standards of quality and presentation.

· Monitor service areas for cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

· Address customer queries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.

Staff Supervision

· Supervise, coordinate, and support front-of-house staff, including food servers, F&B assistants, and trainees.

· Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to team members to maintain high service standards.

· Allocate tasks to staff to ensure smooth operation and service delivery.

· Report staff performance or conduct issues to management and assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary.

Compliance & Legal Responsibilities

· Ensure adherence to Irish Health & Safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.

· Maintain compliance with company policies, including those relating to equality, dignity at work, grievance, and disciplinary procedures.

· Ensure opening, closing, and shift handover procedures are completed correctly and safely.

Stock & Financial Control

· Monitor stock levels for service areas and report shortages or issues to management.

· Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and minimisation of wastage.

· Support management in achieving operational and financial targets.

General Duties

· Assist the Restaurant Manager with operational reporting and shift handovers.

· Lead by example through professionalism, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.

· Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by management in line with the role.

Skills and Experience

· Previous supervisory experience in a food service or hospitality environment is desirable.

· Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

· Knowledge of Irish food safety, hygiene, and employment legislation is advantageous.

· Flexible, reliable, and capable of motivating a team.

Compliance Requirements

· Must have the legal right to work in Ireland.

· Completion of mandatory training, including HACCP, Manual Handling, and Health & Safety, may be required.

Professional Requirements & Experience

  • Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to cleanliness.
  • Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player.

Compliance Requirements

  • Must have the legal right to work in Ireland.
  • Completion of mandatory training, including Manual Handling and Health & Safety

Must complete mandatory training, including Responsible Service of Alcohol, HACCP, Manual Handling, and Health & Safety, as required.
