We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at The Merry Tree Restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and workflow
  • Adhere to all HACCP regulations and documentation
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
  • Oversee food preparation and plating to meet brand expectations
  • Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and minimise wastage
  • Support menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to build a strong team culture
  • Complete daily, nightly, and weekly cleaning schedules
  • Work efficiently under pressure
  • Adhere to provided checklists, keeping the kitchen clean and organised at all times
