Café Manager – Roots Café, Claregalway

At Roots, we know a well-run café comes down to good people, good organisation and a manager who leads by example.

We’re looking for an experienced Café Manager to take responsibility for our Claregalway café. Someone who enjoys being on the floor, builds a strong team and makes sure customers are well looked after.

What you’ll be doing

Running the café day to day, keeping service organised and standards consistent.

Leading the team during service and making sure everyone knows what is expected.

Preparing rosters around trade, with experienced staff supporting newer team members.

Training and developing staff, giving clear feedback and addressing issues as they arise.

Managing orders, stock levels and waste.

Managing sales, staffing costs and stock costs against agreed targets.

Ensuring food safety, cleaning and cash procedures are followed.

Working with the owner and operations manager to improve how the café runs.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll have previous café or restaurant management experience and be comfortable making decisions and taking responsibility. You’ll be approachable, organised and able to keep the team working well together during busy periods.

We would also welcome applications from experienced supervisors who are ready to take the next step into management.

Experience with rostering, stock control and HACCP is essential. Barista experience would be an advantage, and availability to work weekends is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent

Pay: €18.00-€20.00 per hour
