Full job description

About Us

House Dublin is one of the city's best-known hospitality venues — a boutique hotel, restaurant, bar and late night venue on Leeson Street, in the heart of Dublin 2. Our restaurant serves lunch and dinner seven days a week across a ~200-cover operation, alongside a busy private events and functions business.

The Role

We are looking for a warm, organised and confident Reservations & Host professional to be the first point of contact for our guests. You will manage the reservations book on OpenTable, own the flow of the floor during service, and set the tone for every guest's visit from the moment they book to the moment they're seated.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all restaurant reservations via OpenTable — phone, email and online enquiries
  • Plan and optimise table allocations to maximise covers while protecting the guest experience
  • Welcome and seat guests, managing the door and waiting list during busy services
  • Handle group bookings and private dining enquiries, working with the events team
  • Communicate booking details, special requests and VIP notes to the floor and kitchen teams
  • Take deposits and confirm large bookings in line with our booking policy
  • Respond to guest queries and follow up on feedback professionally and promptly

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a host, receptionist or reservationist in a busy restaurant or hotel
  • Working knowledge of OpenTable or a similar reservations platform
  • Excellent phone manner and written communication — polished, warm and professional
  • Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills — Friday and Saturday nights are busy
  • A genuine people person who takes pride in first impressions
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends on a rostered basis
  • Full right to work in Ireland

What We Offer

  • Salary depending on experience, plus share of tips
  • Meals on duty
  • Staff discounts across the venue
  • City-centre location with excellent transport links
  • Genuine career progression in an established, multi-outlet operation
  • Supportive team and structured training

Pay: €15.00-€17.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Reservations : 1 year (required)

Language:

  • English (required)

Work Location: In person
