ob Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, and proactive Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen while supporting chefs and kitchen staff with essential back-of-house duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen and food preparation areas
• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils quickly and efficiently
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and tools are maintained and stored properly
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety standards
• Support the chefs with basic food prep tasks as required (e.g., peeling, portioning)
• Unload and store deliveries safely, ensuring proper rotation of stock
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials
• Assist in maintaining health and safety and food hygiene standards at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role (preferred but not essential)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work quickly under pressure
• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations (training can be provided)
