We are currently seeking an experienced Cafe Supervisor to join our dynamic and creative team at KSG at UCC.

The role is full-time, from Monday to Friday and daytime hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations to ensure efficient service and a positive customer experience.
• Lead, motivate, and support the café team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain high standards of barista service, beverage preparation, and food presentation.
• Supervise daily shifts, allocate duties, and ensure smooth café operations.
• Train and develop café team members in service standards, barista skills, and operational procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, manage ordering, and minimise waste.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
• Manage till operations, cash handling, and daily cash reconciliation.
• Assist with staff rotas, break schedules, and shift planning.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Support the Café Manager in achieving sales targets, managing costs, and improving café performance.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Café Supervisor, Café Team Leader, or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong barista skills and experience preparing high-quality coffee and other café beverages.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train a café team.
• Ability to manage busy café shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and café hygiene standards.
• Experience in stock control, ordering, cash handling, and till operations.
• Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to daily café operations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high café service standards.
