Full job description

This is a role for an experienced manager who is done being micromanaged, undervalued, or held back. We offer real authority, real autonomy, and a genuine stake in something exciting.

Notions a small but quickly growing restaurant in Dublin 8 serving small plates and natural wine. We have strong media coverage, a great team, and Michelin recognition in our sights. We need the right person to lead our floor and grow with us.

What makes this different:

  • True autonomy — hire your own team, manage your own roster, make decisions on the floor without being second-guessed
  • Your time off is protected — out-of-hours contact is for genuine emergencies only
  • 5-day week, Sundays and Mondays off, and typically finished before midnight.
  • Competitive wages — discussed openly at first interview

Progression opportunities as we grow

  • Weekly manager meetings where we celebrate wins and identify one area to improve — no firefighting, just structured growth
  • A culture built on communication — we believe most problems are caused or solved by it, and we hire accordingly

What we are about:

We are not chasing sales figures. Our measure of success is a full restaurant, returning customers, and a team that is genuinely happy, learning, and growing. We invest heavily in systems, training, and staff education so that the operation runs well and nobody is left scrambling.

We pride ourselves on coaching, high staff retention, and hiring the right people from the start. HR and people management are taken seriously here. Work-life balance is a priority..

Ownership is fully committed to ensuring that investment, support, and direction are all in place. We are smart with our resources but we do not cut corners.

Who we are looking for:

Someone experienced, trustworthy, and values-driven. A great communicator who listens, follows through, and brings that same standard to their team. Someone who wants real ownership over their role and is excited by where we are going.

Pay: €44,000.00-€46,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Bike to work scheme
  • Employee discount
  • Food allowance
  • Sick pay

Work Location: In person
