Join the team at the well-established 4-star Arklow Bay Hotel, beautifully located in the scenic seaside town of Arklow. With 91 bedrooms, many boasting stunning bay views, and a reputation as one of Wicklow’s leading hospitality destinations for dining, weddings, and events, we are currently seeking an experienced and professional Bar Tender to join our Food & Beverage team.

Our hotel offers excellent dining and bar experiences across The Pottery Restaurant and The Ferrybank Lounge, alongside busy weddings, events, and conferences, making it a lively and rewarding place to work.

The Role

We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and customer-focused Bar Person who can deliver friendly, efficient service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for customer service, and takes pride in delivering a welcoming bar experience to our guests.

What You’ll Need

Previous bar experience in a busy hotel, bar, or restaurant environment
A mature, professional, and dependable approach to work
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Good knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar service standards
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and busy event periods
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A friendly personality with a professional presentation

Key Responsibilities

Provide friendly and professional bar service to hotel guests and visitors
Prepare and serve beverages including beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails
Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area
Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times
Handle customer orders efficiently and accurately
Assist with bar setup for weddings, events, and functions
Monitor stock levels and inform management when replenishment is required
Handle guest queries and requests in a courteous and professional manner
Support colleagues during busy service periods
