  • Supporting set-up, service, and breakdown of F&B operations efficiently and professionally
  • Collaborating with the wider F&B team to deliver consistent, guest-focused service
  • Demonstrating flexibility across morning, evening, and weekend shifts as required
  • Upholding health, safety, and hygiene standards in all service areas

Job Purpose

The Food & Beverage Assistant is a core member of the Food and Beverage team, delivering a consistently high level of service to all guests. Whether serving breakfast, a la carte dining, drinks, or private events, this role requires energy, professionalism, and a positive guest-first approach. The Food and Beverage Assistant will ensure all service standards are met while working collaboratively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Deliverables

Guest-Focused Service Delivery

  • Greet and engage guests warmly, ensuring all service is friendly and professional
  • Take and serve food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
  • Be attentive to guest needs and deliver a memorable dining experience
  • Handle any guest queries or complaints calmly and with a solution-oriented mindset

Operational Excellence

  • Support opening and closing duties including cleaning, setup, and preparation
  • Maintain clean and organised service areas including tables, floors, and equipment
  • Ensure food and beverage items are presented to brand standards
  • Follow proper procedures for billing, POS usage, and order tracking

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with kitchen, bar, and events teams to ensure smooth service flow
  • Participate in pre-shift briefings and team meetings as required
  • Assist in cross-training new staff members or helping across different F&B outlets when needed

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and manual handling guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol policies
  • Report incidents or maintenance issues to management promptly
  • Maintain personal grooming and presentation standards in line with the hotel's brand

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in a similar high-volume restaurant, bar, or hotel setting is beneficial
  • Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-presented, outgoing, and able to work calmly under pressure
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible availability including early mornings, late nights, and weekends
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
