The Rising Sun, Main Street Mullinavat Co Kilkenny

The Rising Sun Restaurant, Mullinavat, County Kilkenny was originally an ale house built in 1644 during the Cromwellian era. Today, The Rising Sun Restaurant offers an all day food service including breakfast, a bar menu and Sunday carvery.

We are now looking to hire Waiter's/Waitress’s

Key Responsibilities:

You will focus on providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for knowing our complete food menu as well as our wine and cocktail offerings as well.

You will be well-organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment all the time providing excellent customer service at all times.

Essential Job Functions

  • Greet guests upon arrival escorting them to their tables.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions when asked.
  • Ensure food and drink orders are accurately input into the POS system.
  • Assist fellow team members when possible to support all table orders
  • Clean and stock server stations, polish cutlery, plates and/or glassware as needed.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests or alternative solutions that better suit business needs or advise management to further assess and provide options.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1+ year’s experience
  • Must be approachable, and passionate about guest service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to take direction, work in a team environment autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert knowledge of food and beverage menus to guests, maintaining complete knowledge of all menus, including ingredients and techniques used.
  • Runs all food and beverages to the dining room
  • Maintains complete knowledge of table and seat numbers
  • Takes direction from Chefs
  • Navigates the POS system to charge and process payments.
  • Trains others and upholds the standards set by the chefs and managers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: P.O.E

Pay: €14.00-€17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 39.0 per week
