Job Description

The Bedford Townhouse (on Bedford Row) is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Restaurant team on a part time basis . This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a boutique business which is locally owned and operated in the heart of Limerick City.

This role will report in to our Restaurant Manager.

The role is part time (minimum 16 hours per week) but there is also scope for additional shifts to to support holiday cover, and other ad hoc cover.

Preferable to have at least one full shift availability midweek plus weekend availability. Please note that the shifts will be both midweek and weekend.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a passionate foodie who loves going the extra mile to ensure our customers have a great experience
  • Excels at customer service excellence
  • Food prep and service of Brunch menu
  • Kitchen support as required
  • Preparation and service of specialty hot beverages
  • Ensuring customer seating area is well maintained
  • To undertake cleaning duties as required and as directed by management
  • High standard of personal appearance and hygiene
  • Good attention to detail and takes a pride in his/her work
  • Works well under pressure
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • The ability to work in a quick and efficient manner at pace
  • To comply with all policies and procedures
  • To comply with food hygiene and health and safety standards
  • To comply with Covid 19 prevention standards
  • To ensure all duties are completed within timeframes
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Able to work flexible hours that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and possible holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Most important are being a team player and working on own initiative
  • At least 1 years’ experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential
  • Barista experience preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
  • Fluent English
  • 18 years old minimum
