Full job description

Job Title: Part-Time Pasta Chef

Location: Ninos, Portrane, Co. Dublin
Pay: From €15.50 per hour, depending on experience

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic part-time pasta chef to join our busy restaurant kitchen at Ninos, specialising in fresh pasta and wood-fired pizza.

You will be responsible for the pasta section, including starters, fresh pasta dishes and sides. This is a busy section, so the successful candidate must be organised, work cleanly and remain calm under pressure.

Main responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking starters, pasta dishes and sides
  • Setting up and maintaining the section for service
  • Producing consistently high-quality food during busy periods
  • Completing daily preparation and monitoring stock levels
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleaning standards
  • Working closely with the other chefs and kitchen team
  • Minimising food waste and following portion controls

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen
  • Experience on a pasta, sauté or similar section is preferred
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple orders during busy services
  • Reliable, clean and able to work well as part of a team
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene

Further training in our fresh pasta, sauces and preparation methods will be provided.

This position would particularly suit someone living in Donabate, Swords, Rush, Lusk or the surrounding area.
