Job Description:

We’re on the lookout for a friendly, reliable, and hard-working Senior Front of House Assistant to join our team at GROW HQ. If you love great food, enjoy working with people, and want to be part of a mission-driven organisation, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a permanent role, we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us. Flexibility is key – we need someone who can work midweek as well as weekends, across 4-5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, operating across our cafe, retail and education functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a warm, friendly and professional customer experience, ensuring every guest feels genuinely welcomed and looked after.
  • Provide confident, knowledgeable table service, including taking orders, serving food and drinks, processing payments and responding to customer queries.
  • Act as a senior presence on the floor, supporting colleagues, helping coordinate service and stepping up to resolve issues when required.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of our menu, ingredients and food ethos, and communicate the story behind our food, farm and local producers enthusiastically to customers.
  • Help maintain high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and organisation across the café and customer areas.
  • Support the training and development of newer Front of House team members, leading by example and helping to create a positive, respectful and collaborative working environment.
  • Work closely with the kitchen, café management and wider GROW HQ team to ensure smooth service, good communication and an excellent overall customer experience.
  • Be able to oversee the day to day running of the front of house areas in the absence of the centre manager.
  • This position may be ideal for someone with previous hospitality duty management or an assistant banqueting/restaurant manager looking to branch into a more” Life friendly” role.
